Department Dashboards allow municipalities to highlight key performance metrics for individual departments. These template-driven pages take only minutes to populate and publish to our Transparency Center — enabling agencies to share department information in a dashboard that’s easy for everyone to understand.

Creating a New Dashboard
Once you’ve logged into your ClearGov account, follow these steps:
Please note that your view may be different as the user experience updates.
- Select Transparency from the navigation sidebar.
- Select the Dashboards panel.
- Select the Create New button.
- Enter a Department Name (e.g. Police) and select an icon that best matches then, select Save.
- Select Edit next to the newly created Department and you will be taken to the Department's dashboard page.
- There are four descriptive items to edit - click on the pencil icon next to each to update:
- Department Description
- Official Name
- Official Title
- Official Picture
- Select the Add New Panel button.
- Select one of the panel layouts to use and click Add Selected Template.
- Depending on which panel layout you selected, you will be presented with the ability to change the following:
- Headline text
- Paragraph text
- Upload an image
- Select a chart (from the list of charts you previously created in the Charts application)
- Create a new chart
- Add one or more attachments
- When you have completed edits to the dashboard, go back to the Dashboard’s main page (by clicking on the Dashboards link in the left column navigation area) and toggle Available to Public to YES to make the dashboard visible to the public. NOTE: This step is optional.
