ClearGov obtains its base financial data from various state entities and local governments, such as State Departments of Revenue and State Education Departments. Additionally, many states utilize financial data from the U.S. Census Bureau. School financial data for several states is sourced from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).
When a municipality or school purchases a subscription, ClearGov collects more recent and detailed revenue and expense data directly from the client. Read more about this here.
