Use this article after: you have created report variables and wish to insert them throughout your report.
Note: You can click on any image below to zoom in.
To insert a report variable, select a page from the Table of Contents (TOC).
Then you can start to place variables into your page by select the Insert Variable option from any content block.
Note: We suggest adding variables to the sections of the report that remain consistent from year to year, while skipping any periods or temporary narrative elements that may change or may not be relevant in future years.
- Select the Report Variable option from the dropdown under the Insert Variable option.
- Select the variable you want to utilize from the report variable module.
- Then select the Insert variable button.
Note: If you still need to add a text or image variable select the +New Variable button from the Report Variables popup modal.
Pro Tip: Use the keyboard commands, Ctrl C and Ctrl V, to copy and paste the variable into any textbox or content block where needed to automate your work.
