Section Blocks and Widgets

Design Tab
Once you've selected your project, select Content & Design in the sidebar and open the Design tab. Here, you can easily add section blocks and widgets to create a beautiful, organized layout for your content.
Note: Your work is saved automatically! When you're ready for the world to see, select Publish Changes.
Pro Tip: Switch between pages using the dropdown at the top labeled Current Page.
Understanding Section Blocks
Section blocks are the foundation of your page, allowing you to define column layouts using versatile Template Instances.
- Select the four-square icon to add a new section at the bottom of your page, or use the Add Section Block button in specific areas.
- Select the template instance that best fits your vision.
- Select the trash can icon to delete the section block.
- To move a section block, drag and drop the two vertical lines at the top of the block.
Widgets
Widgets display content such as text, images, or other interactive elements.
- Select Add Widget within any Section Block.
- Choose the widget that meets your needs. Explore the different Widget Modules described below!
- To customize, select the action dots (upper-right corner) to edit settings, update the Anchor ID, or remove the widget.
- Arrange your widgets by dragging the two vertical lines. Note: Widgets move vertically within their designated section block.
Widget Modules
- Text Box – Add and format text using the built-in rich text editor to share your story clearly.
- Map – Help viewers visualize your project by adding a map that highlights its location.
- Image – Upload images, add descriptions, and customize their display with sizing and overlay text options.
- Carousel – Showcase multiple images in an interactive gallery that viewers can click through.
- Information & Plans – Keep the community informed by sharing important documents and project attachments.
- Hero Image – Make a strong first impression with a featured image displayed at the top of your page.
- Iframe Embed – Display content from other sources by pasting in an embed code.
- Feedback – Invite engagement by posting questions and comments.
- Timeline – Present your project’s progress and key milestones with an easy-to-follow timeline.
- Form – Create or add a form so viewers can quickly submit information or share their input.
- Video – Bring your project to life by embedding videos using a URL link.
- Public Benefit – Highlight how your project serves the community with easy-to-understand benefit tags.
- Call to Action – Encourage viewers to take the next step with a clear and engaging action button.
- Location & Phase – Keep viewers informed by displaying your project’s location and current phase.
- Subscribe Box – Make it easy for viewers to stay connected by signing up for email updates.
- Revenues & Expenditures – Build trust by displaying financial data directly from your ClearGov account.
