If variables are deleted incorrectly it can result in broken variables which will cause a warning to appear when a report is generated.
In order to remove these warnings we need to correctly delete the broken variables. All broken variables can be deleted at once or one by one.
How to Delete
- Open the report → Click on the three dots beside the main report folder.
- The object context menu will appear → Hover over “Data”.

A second menu will appear → Click on “Delete Broken Variables”.
- A new window will open → In this new window you can check off one by one which broken variables should be deleted. You can also select the check box in the top left corner to delete all at once.

After selecting the broken variables that should be deleted press the “Delete” button.
- The broken variables will be deleted successfully and the next time the report is generated the warnings will not be present.
Permissions Required
If you do not see the “Delete Broken Variables” option it is possible you do not yet have permission.
Steps to set up this permission:

Click on “Settings” → “Users”.
- In the Permissions window select the “Report Level” tab.
- Select the 'User' and the 'Report' the user should delete broken variables in.

Check the “Delete Broken Variables” permission.
