Adjustments, just like regular accounts, need local rules to map them to the correct line item.
If you’ve posted an adjustment but it’s not linked, here’s what to check:
When posting adjustments, we select all relevant dimensions—statements intersection. This means the cube where the adjustment is posted should always have the necessary dimensions mapped, as it’s impossible to post an adjustment without selecting the required dimensions.
Adjustments may become unmapped in related hypercubes. For example:
- If you make an adjustment in the Governmental Fund cube, the adjustment should be linked there. If it's not, please contact customer support.
- However, the same adjustment in the Government-Wide cube can be unmapped if no local rules are associated with that adjustment.
The most common issue is missing attributes, such as fiscal year or account, that are needed for local rules.
To correct the error, follow these steps:
- Go to the source cube.
- Navigate to Adjustments > Adjustments by GL.
- Search for the respective posted adjustment.
- Double-click the adjustment.
- Click Edit Transaction.
4. Add the missing attributes and Post Transactions.
