Using Eclipse in Gravity
- To open Eclipse, click "DATA".
- Click "Eclipse".
- Click "Open".
- In this menu, you will have to select the "Account Hierarchy", which represents your statements.
Then you will have to select a view.
Once complete click "Open".
- In Eclipse, the panel to the top right is the mapped accounts. These accounts will appear on your financial statements.
- In Eclipse, the panel to the bottom right is the unmapped accounts. These accounts will not appear on your financial statements.
Click the download icon anywhere in Eclipse to download the information in the mapped or unmapped accounts panels.
To update your default view:
- Click on the three lines to the top left of Eclipse.
- Then click "Update Current View"
To refresh your automated financial statements:
- Click on the three lines in the top-right corner of Eclipse.
- Click “Run Rules”.
- Click “OK”
- Click on the three lines in the top-right corner of Eclipse again.
- Click "Refresh All Imports".
To map accounts to lines on your financial statements.
- In the "Accounts" menu, select the line of the statement where you want to map accounts.
- In the period menu, you can select the correct fiscal year for your statements.
- We can automate your financial reporting in Eclipse by click "Linking Rules".

- To edit a rule, click on the pencil icon.
NOTE: If you are changing the action, click the second box and select one of the following conditions.
The "IN" condition
The "NOT IN" condition
The "=" condition will link any accounts that equal the exact parameter you define.
The "<>" condition will link any accounts that do not equal the exact parameter you define.
The "starts with" condition will link any accounts that begin with the numbers or letters that you define.
The "starts not with" condition will link all accounts except those that begin with the numbers or letters that you define.
- Click the checkmark to confirm the rule.
- Then click "Apply" to confirm the new rule.
If you have major changes to your accounting structure, you can click "Add Rule" if you want to create a rule from scratch, but generally you will be editing rules as shown above.
If you think that the rules you have created are not working:
- Click on the three lines in the top-right corner of Eclipse.
- Click "Run Rules".
- Click "OK".
