This article is intended for: Editors of an Operational Budget.

To take action on submitted requests follow the steps below.
- Use the increase/decrease arrows in the In Progress > Value column to identify categories containing line items requiring your attention.
-
Expand your chart of accounts to drill into the categories that need attention.
- Pro Tip: To Expand All select the three lines in the Description column At the account and itemization level, requests requiring attention will have the status Submitted in the Status column.
-
You will see a green thumbs-up icon and a red thumbs-down icon in the In Progress column.
- To approve an account or itemization, select the green thumbs-up icon. Approving an account locks the value submitted by your contributor into place.
- To deny an account or itemization, select the red thumbs-down icon. Denying an account or itemization reverts the account or itemization value to the number sent to your contributor.
-
To edit an account or itemization, edit the dollar value or percentage of an account or itemization and select the green thumbs-up icon to approve the edit.
- Note: Editors can add itemizations during the approve/deny process of a request round.
- If you need to undo an action, select the undo icon to the right of the thumbs-down icon.
- Each of these status updates will appear in the contributor's view of the budget when they log in.
- To approve all requests at once, select the Approve All button at the worksheet’s top right corner. To approve all accounts or itemizations NOT changed by the contributor, select the Approve Unedited button. Note: The Approve All and Approve Unedited functions will approve both years in a biennial budget.
Follow this procedure for all submitted requests. When you have taken action on all requests and are ready to close the request round. For more information on Closing a Request Round, please see this article.
