After you’ve set up your Data Model Manager, added employees, vacancies, new position requests, and future hires, and created a default scenario, your Personnel Budgeting Dashboard is automatically populated with a variety of visualizations to allow you to understand your personnel budget better.
Below, you will learn how to:
- Navigate the Personnel Budgeting dashboard
By default, your Personnel Budgeting Dashboard will display data from the first year of your default scenario.

- Use the dropdown menus along the top of the page to adjust your filters. You can filter by Scenario, Budget Year, Units, or Departments.
- Across the top of the screen, see your total personnel budget for the selected year, the total number of employees, and the full-time equivalencies they represent.
- Pro Tip: If your total budget is not displaying as predicted on the Dashboard, be sure to remove all filters.
- Four charts will display your data across costs, units, funds, and departments for the given year. In addition to the visualization, you can review the dollar amount and percentage each category represents in the table below or by hovering over the chart.
- Export any graphic from the Scenario page. These images are exportable as various file types: JPEG, PNG, PDF, SVG, SCV, or XLS.
Scroll to the bottom of the Dashboard to view data regarding position requests.

Any vacancies, requested new positions, and future hires included in a given year are listed below with their estimated start date and corresponding total compensation.
