Dimensions - Financial Pages in the Digital Budget Book are created based on Dimensions. A Dimension is any section of your mapped data. Some examples of Dimensions are Fund, Department, and Object. Other examples of Dimensions might be Program, Location, and more.
Data Types - Financial Pages use the Dimension(s) as the framework of the page. The sections of graphics and data in the Financial Pages are created based on the selections for the Type of financial data presented, such as Fund, Object, Function, etc.
- For example, a Financial Page is created to look at the Fund Dimension, and the page is a General Fund Page.
- The content of the General Fund Page will show all the graphics and data for all the types of data with the General Fund. Sections of graphics on this page might include Expenditures by Fund, Expenditures by Department, Revenue by Fund, Revenue by Object, etc.
Financial Schedule Tables - After every section of graphics and data on the page there will be a Financial Schedule Table.
- For example, the General Fund Page has a section for Revenue by Function, and underneath the section is a Financial Table that describes the presented data above. See the screenshot below for an example of a Financial Schedule Table.
Financial Schedule Tables display specific years and versions of data as Columns, and the Rows as the desired level of detail. Percentage Change columns are also available in financial tables, and they calculate and show the difference between two versions of financial data.
