This article is intended for: Editors of a Digital Budget Book, CIP Document, Digital Financial Report, Planning Document, or Custom Document.
Use this article after: your document has been created and you wish to control how the PDF version of your budget book will display.

In the PDF Presentation settings you can make the following customization choices to control how your budget book looks when its PDF is generated.
- For the Global Header Display setting, decide if you want to have each Page Name displayed in the header of the PDF.
- If you do, leave this set to Auto. Auto is the default setting.
- If you don’t, change this to None.
- If you want it to be customized to your Organization, select Custom and enter in what you want displayed.
- Edit the PDF Footer name. Note: When you preview your PDF, the footer name may appear differently than what is set in the PDF footer; rest assured, the PDF will print with the footer text you specified. This footer text will only display in the footer of the PDF version of your document. Footer content that is greater than 100 characters can overlap page numbers and may not fit on the PDF.
Toggle on Exclude Cover Page to not include a cover page when generating a PDF. The document will begin with the table of contents.
Note: When enabled, any cover page added to the document will continue to display in the web version.
- Print Full Page Cover - when toggled on, this setting will override PDF margins and print cover page to the edge of the PDF. Most applicable when adding a full page image or a background image.
- Alternate Page Numbers in the PDF footer to give your PDF a more book-like feel.
- Enable the Table of Contents Header Link to add links to the header of each page in the PDF, linking back to the Table of Contents page.
- Optionally, select a color for your Table of Contents Link.
- Disable Public Printing to remove the print PDF option on the public web view for all viewers.
- Customize the PDF Footer Background, Header Background, Footer Font Color, and Header Font Colors.
Table of Contents Grouping allows you to condense the Table of Contents by grouping sections, thereby reducing the PDF page count. By default, your table of contents lists all sections and pages in your document.
- Toggling this option on displays a section breakdown slider you can adjust to control how detailed your Table of Contents will be. Moving the slider left condenses the table of contents, while moving right shows more detail. When you move the slider, a Table of Contents Preview will show how much detail you’ll see in your PDF’s Table of Contents.
Utilize the Financial Table PDF Settings to customize how financial schedule tables display in the PDF.
Since large financial tables can sometimes be tricky to display in a standard 8.5” x 11” (portrait) PDF format, this setting lets you choose how automatically generated financial tables will appear in your PDF.
Note: The settings will apply globally to all system generated tables.
- Normal (100% Scaling) - This option displays the table at its original size. If the table is too wide for the page, columns will automatically wrap to the next page.
- Fit to Width - This option scales the table to fit the width of the page. This can make the table smaller, but it will ensure that the entire table appears on a single page.
Select the Save Settings button to confirm any changes made.
