Use this article for: Importing Allocations per Position
After reading this article, you should be able to: Import Allocations as unique to individual Positions
Positions must already exist in the system to use the Position Allocation Import.
Download the Filled Positions Allocations Import Template
- Open your Personnel Budget and navigate to the Positions Tab. Select Import Filled Position Data.
- Select the option called Import Filled Positions Allocations.
- Select Import Data.
- Download and fill out the ClearGov Filled Positions Allocations Template. Match the exact name of the option available for each benefit or additional pay. Split allocations are accepted, but they must total 100%.
- Lastly, select Import Filled Position Allocations to select the file from your computer and begin the import!

Completing the Import Template
When you have downloaded the Import Template, you will see it contains your current Filled Position Information
- System Employee Job ID - Ignore or hide this column. It is required for the technical side of the import and must remain unchanged.
- Filled Position ID -> Last Name should not be changed. If you want to change those fields, you should use the other import template.

Most Important Columns: For each type of Expense (Wages, Additional Pay, and Benefits), there will be 2 columns to complete in this template.
- Account ID Column - Edit the Account ID. The original Account ID shown is coming from the Allocations Tab for that employee’s job title.
- Percentage Column - Enter the Percentage Split, if splitting between two or more Account Ids. Percentages must equal 100%.
How do I split Account IDs?
Insert a row above or below with all the same general information (Filled Position ID -> Last Name) to split Account Ids. Ensure that the percentage equals 100% for that Filled Position.
