- Navigate to the Positions tab.
- Navigate to the Filled Positions subtab.
- Select a Filled Position ID to view the Employee Detail Screen.
- Select the End Position option.
- You can choose whether to Create a Vacancy or Leave Unfilled after the current Employee’s End Date. The difference is really whether you want to budget for the Position or not.
- Create A Vacancy would budget automatically for the maximum amount that the Employee would cost, including maximizing all Additional Pay and Benefits. Note that the Vacancy will be prorated based on their start date.
-
Leave Unfilled means you won’t be budgeting for it. This Position will not include the Position’s wages in the total Personnel Budget for this year. No Vacancy will be created for this Position, so it will not display in the Vacant Positions tab.
- Note: If you have Position Control toggled on, the Position will display in the All Positions Tab, and its status will be Unfilled Position. For additional information on Position Control, see the training & support article: Turn on Position Control
- Enter the End Date from the calendar picker.
- Select the End Position button to confirm changes.
After the end date is added, the budget total compensation section will adjust to budget from the start of the fiscal year till the end date.
