Embedding a ClearGov chart on your website has many benefits. First it shows website visitors your commitment to transparency and makes them aware of your partnership with ClearGov. Second, it highlights specific data in an easy-to-understand visual format. And third, it provides readers with a quick path to your Transparency Center. That's because all embedded charts have a "view more details" link that goes to the associated ClearGov page.
There are two types of charts that can be embedded:
- Static Chart
- Once created and embedded it will not change
- This is sometimes referred to as a "widget"
- Create and generate embed code using the Charts application (click here for instructions)
- Dynamic Chart
- This chart presents the most recent demographic and financial snapshot from your Transparency Center (that is marked Available to Public)
- For municipalities:
- Demographics (Population, Median Home Value, Median Household Income)
- Financials (Expenditures, Funding)
- For school districts
- District Snapshot (Student Population, Employees)
- District Financials (Expenditures, Funding)
- District Performance (Graduation Rate)
- For municipalities:
- This is sometimes referred to as a "super widget"
- Contact your Client Success Manager to get the embed code for a dynamic chart
- This chart presents the most recent demographic and financial snapshot from your Transparency Center (that is marked Available to Public)
