There are a few options to resize your Org Chart to fit into your Digital Budget Book or other ClearGov Report.
- Resize the Org Chart in a Content Block in a Reports solution
- Change the Card Layout in the Chart Editor
- Consider breaking apart the organizational chart or making it more vertical
Resize the Organizational Chart in a Content Block
First, you can check how the Org Chart looks by default in a content block in a Digital Budget Book or other Report.
- Navigate to an existing Digital Budget Book or any other Document type.
- Add a media content block to any Page in your Document or navigate to an existing content block.
- Insert the Org Chart into the Content Block by selecting Select Existing Chart.
- To resize, locate the resizing bar along the bottom of the chart. Hover over the chart to see the resizing bar. See the screenshot below for an example.
- Pull the resizing bar down to increase the size and appearance of the Org Chart on the page.
Pro Tip: If the resizing bar isn’t resizing the way you want it to, try a different content block type. For example, you can try a two-column media option and use both of the resizing bars. (Horizontal and Vertical)

Update the Card Layout
Consider updating the Layout of the Org Chart cards.
Inside the Org Chart, you can change the layout of each Card. This can help to restructure the entire org chart to be more vertical. Typically, the issue with org chart resizing is that the org chart is too wide horizontally.
- Navigate to the Charts Tool
- Open to edit the Org Chart
-
Select a card from the org chart, and modify the Card Layout option on the far right.
- Edit each Parent Row to modify the layout of the Child Row underneath.
Note: The child row will inherit the layout changes of the parent card. Best practice is to start from the bottom and modify all parent rows to update the layout of the organizational chart.
Consider Breaking Apart the Org Chart into Smaller Sections
If your organizational chart is too wide to be sized perfectly, consider breaking it into smaller organizational groups, such as Departments.
Note that the Digital Budget Book is designed to be created, published, and consumed in a portrait page layout, so landscape or horizontal organizational charts should be made portrait and vertical for the best results.
