Below, you will learn how to:
- Manage the Transparency Page as an Administrator
- Add Commentary to the Transparency Center
Why would I want to add Comments to Projects?
Sometimes, a simple sentence or two can clarify a figure and reveal the rationale behind spending, funding, and debt. Charts are great for illustrating trends, but they can’t explain the factors driving the trends. That’s when strategically placed commentary can shed valuable light on important background data that would otherwise be missing.
Adding Commentary
To add commentary to your Transparency Center, follow these steps:
- Log in to your ClearGov account.
- In the upper right area of the page, click on your name to show a drop-down list of options.
- Select the View [Your Organization Name] Page
If you are logged in to ClearGov as an Administrator, you see administrative options on this page, such as adding commentary. The public will not see these options when viewing your Transparency Center. In addition, because you are logged in, you see ALL data available, even though some of it may be turned off for public view.
You can add commentary anywhere you see the "Click to add commentary" text box.
By default, the commentary is set to display across all years. To show the commentary on just the year you are on, turn off the Across Years toggle.
