Sections
Sections are automatically added based on the criteria of your book. Sections are just the top page of a tree of pages. These top section pages become the top navigation items on your public-facing page. Sections can be added, renamed, re-ordered, and hidden.
Take Action on Section Pages
- To take action on a section select the three Action dots next to the section name.
- From the Action menu, you can choose to:
- Hide - Choosing the hide option will make the section and all corresponding pages in a section not visible to the public. Note: Select the Show icon to restore visibility.
- Delete - Deleting a section will remove it from your document, and deleted sections cannot be recovered. Note: If you are trying to delete a section that has pages nested beneath it, you must remove or reorder those pages before deleting.
- Add Page - This option allows you to select a page template that will best present your content then give your page a name (you can change this later).
- Clone - Cloning a section will create an exact copy of the selected page with the same content and styling that can be updated after the page is created. Cloning a section that has pages beneath it will not clone each page- it will only clone the top-level section page. Note: the cloned page must have a unique name.
- Rename - This option allows you to change the name of a section or page.
To reorder a section, simply drag and drop the section in the structure menu.
