Before you publish and make your ClearGov document public, or if you no longer want to have someone make edits to the document, consider locking it.
Locked documents such as budget books or CIPs are static copies of the document that cannot be edited manually and are not updated by underlying changes to source components like charts, budgets, and settings. This feature ensures that no updates will be passed along to this locked version of the documents.
Note: You will not be able to unlock the book but can create a new copy at any point. However, you cannot edit the document once it's been locked.
From the Action button, choose the Lock icon. Toggle on Content and Data options as appropriate for your organization.
Pro-Tip: When you toggle on one of the options to lock, we will automatically turn on the option to clone. We highly recommend you clone your book when locking it to ensure you have an editable version for the future. You can turn this off if you’ve already cloned your document.
