FAQ: Why does my FTE count seem inaccurate on the Dashboard?

It is possible that your FTE count might be inflated on the Dashboard in Personnel Budgeting if you utilize Concurrent Positions. To obtain an accurate FTE count, we recommend filtering your reports to exclude duplicate positions.

1. Begin with either a Filled Position Detail Report or an Allocations Detail Report
2. Add a filter to remove the concurrent position from the report, such as Job Title, or Row Group by Employee Name, to see the impact on the FTE column.
   • For example, Volunteer Fire Fighter is a job with duplicate positions, so filtering it out of the Job Title column helps to provide a more accurate FTE count at a high level. 

Note: This filtering solution will not update the Dashboard. However, the Dashboard can be filtered to specific Units, Departments, or other groupings.
