Strategic Planning - Navigate a Focus Area

  1. View the overall Progress & Status of this Focus Area based on the data from Progress & Status Updates in the Action Item.
  2. View the GFOA Recommendations for strategic planning in the Strategic Plan Best Practices. Note that “Custom Plans” will not have this checklist available.
  3. Access Plan Settings in the upper right of any screen to make the following edits across the entire plan.
    • Plan Name
    • Plan Description
    • Budget Year
    • Check-In Notification Schedule
    • Check-In Grace Period
    • Re-name Framework Terms and Status Terms
  4. Enter Focus Area Settings to make any of the following edits,
    • Re-name the Focus Area or enter and edit the Description.
    • View and Manage Contributors who are assigned to this Focus Area
    • Assign a Department if desired.
  5. Select Options to upload an image that represents your Focus Area.
    • Note: Recommended size is 1280×720px. Maximum file size is 20mb
  6. View all Goals associated with this Focus Area. Select + Add Goal to add a new Goal to this Focus Area.
  7. View and manage Key Performance Indicators. Upload KPI charts and graphics from your computer or select a custom chart from the ClearGov Charts tool.
  8. View and manage all Attachments and Notes.
