CIP Document - Automatically Created Pages

Several pages will be automatically created to provide a layout for you to utilize. The CIP document will start with a series of static pages and continue into dynamic pages that are pulled from your Capital Budgeting application. 

Static Pages

Static pages are fully customizable and created for your convenience to add narrative building blocks to your CIP document. The static pages provided in your document are:

• Cover
• Award/Recognition
• Introduction Letter
  • Leadership Team
  • City Council
  • Vision and Goals

Dynamic Pages

Dynamic pages are pages with a live connection from the Capital Budgeting module to your document.

• Capital Improvement Plan
  • One Year Plan
  • Capital Improvement Multi-year Plan
  • Project Types
  • Departments
  • Expenditures
  • Revenues

Pro Tip: Utilize the Capital Improvement Plan section page to explain the Capital Budgeting Process, the basis for revenue and expenditure estimates, the Project Ranking and Prioritization Process, and any definitions and criteria for the capital projects.

• Capital Projects
  • Capital projects will be  organized according to the selection you made when you created the book (i.e. Capital Project Detail Display: by department or project type)
    • Underneath the section title page will be the linked Capital Requests
    • Note: You can change your capital project detail display choice by selecting the Setting icon in the book and selecting the Capital Detail Display option in the Data Source tab. 

You have now set up the core structure of your CIP Book. Forthwith you can enter each section, the associated data/details, and explanatory narratives.
