Think of a Position as a seat. Who is in the seat? Is an Employee currently in that Position? Or is it currently Vacant? Position Control in Personnel Budgeting allows you to track All Positions for the fiscal year.
Here’s how it works:
- Each Employee or Vacancy has a Position Code.
- The Position Code tracks if that Position/Seat is currently Filled, Vacant, or Unfilled (not budgeted for).
- View All Positions in the new All Positions Tab.
What happens to my Position Codes?
When Position Control is turned on, Position Codes have a new purpose. Any existing Position Codes will appear in the All Positions tab. Position Code for Employees and Vacancies can be bulk edited through an Employee Import.
- In the Positions Tab, navigate to Filled Positions
- Select the Import button
- Toggle on “Include current employee data” to download a filled-out template.
- Now, add in Position Codes for each Employee or edit the existing codes.
Note: Position Code must be unique per Employee or Vacancy.
