A Wage Schedule is a collection of jobs with similar pay structure. They allow you to dictate whether roles are:
- Whether the schedule is hourly or salaried
- If promotion is merit- or tenure-based
- How the number of steps and pay increases impact salaries
You can have as many wage schedules within a unit as necessary.
For instance, your full-time employees and fire department may have separate wage schedules due to one being merit-based and one being tenure-based or you may set up two different wage schedules for employees that have an hourly-rate and for employees with an annual salary.
Wage Schedules create the rules for how wages for each job are calculated for the fiscal year. Wage Schedules are the second largest group of jobs that you can report on and adjust in the Scenarios.
