Digital Budget Book - Automatically Created Pages

Several pages will be automatically created to provide a layout for you to utilize. The Digital Budget Book will start with a series of static pages typically based on the Award Criteria you selected upon creation and if you choose to include a Capital Budget from the Capital Budgeting Module. 

Note: You will need to add and customize the Financial pages you wish to show. Learn more with this article: Add Financial Pages.

There are two types of Pages that can be created. Click on each section to navigate directly to it. 

  1. Static Pages - Static pages are fully customizable and created for your convenience to add narrative building blocks to your Digital Budget Book. 
  2. Dynamic Pages - Dynamic pages are pages with a live connection from other Modules or Tools within ClearGov to your document.

Note: You do not have to utilize all of these pages in your Digital Budget Book. You are welcome to hide any pages that do not serve your purposes. Resource: Take Action on Pages

There are three different types of templates that affect what Status Pages are created. Select a Section below to navigate directly to it.

Dynamic Pages

There are three types of Dynamic Pages in your Digital Budget Book. Select the type of page to navigate directly to it. 

  1. Financial Pages
  2. Capital Budgeting Pages
  3. Debt Pages

Financial Pages

In all Digital Budget Book templates:

When creating a Financial Page, you will create page(s) based on a specific dimension type (Fund, Object, Department, etc.). When you create a financial page, the pages will populate with specific content blocks with charts and tables based on every dimension of data you have mapped in your Chart of Accounts. 

Note: As with pages, you do not have to utilize all of these content blocks or assets. You can hide any content blocks that do not serve your Digital Budget Book. Resource: Edit Financial Page Settings

Below are the content blocks and assets that will be created for Funds. 

  • Overview (This will be the name of the Fund)
  • Summary
    • Chart: Revenues vs. Expenditures Summary
  • Comprehensive Fund Summary
    • Table: Comprehensive Fund Summary
  • Revenues by Dimension (Created for Every Other Data Type in your ClearGov)
    • Chart: Historical Expenditures by Data Type
    • Chart: FY Expenditures by Data Type
    • Table: Expenditures by Data Type
  • Expenditures by Dimension (Created for Every Other Data Type in your ClearGov Chart of Accounts)
    • Chart: Historical Expenditures by Data Type
    • Chart: FY Expenditures by Data Type
    • Table: Expenditures by Data Type
  • Fund Balance
    • Chart: Fund Balance Projections
    • Table: Financial Summary

  • Overview (This will be the name you give the page upon creation)
  • Expenditure Summary
    • Chart: Historical Expenditures Across Selected Data Type
  • Expenditures by Dimension (Created for Every Other Data Type in your ClearGov Chart of Accounts)

    • Chart: FY Expenditures by Data Type
    • Table: Expenditures by Data Type
  • Revenue Summary
    • Chart: Historical Revenues Across Selected Data Type
  • Revenues by Dimension (Created for Every Other Data Type in your ClearGov)
    • Chart: Historical Expenditures by Data Type
    • Chart: FY Expenditures by Data Type

If you selected a Capital Budget:

  • Capital Improvement Plan (Static Page Section)
    • One Year Plan
    • Multi-year Plan
    • Project Types
    • Departments
    • Expenditures
    • Revenues
  • Capital Projects (Static Page Section)
    • Any projects connected to your Capital Budgets will have their own page
      Note: You can change your capital project detail display choice by selecting the Setting icon in the book and selecting the Capital Detail Display option in the Data Source tab. 

Debt Pages

In GFOA and Basic Templates:

  • Debt Services Overview (Static Page Section)
    • Debt by Type
    • Debt by Fund

In ASBO Templates, located under Financials:

  • Debt Summary (Static Page Section)
    • Government-wide Debt
    • Debt by Type
