A default version is the selected predominant version for budgeted and actual data in a fiscal year. The default version determines which data set shows in particular sections of each product.
How Default Versions Affect the Digital Budget Book and Transparency:
- If you are using the Operational Budgeting module and have selected a budget as default, then the last version saved in the budget can be displayed in the Digital Budget Book and Transparency. From the Operational Budgeting home screen toggle on the preferred default budget(s) that you would like to see as options to utilize in creating a budget book.
- If you are not utilizing the Operational Budgeting module, the default version is the version that the data team or yourself has selected as the default version type for each fiscal year in the Data Financials tool. Note: Oftentimes, it is the latest version you provided to the Data team or have uploaded in the Financials tool.
Note: Default Versions can be changed under the Manage Versions module in the Financials tool.
