Turn on Position Control
Position Control in Personnel Budgeting allows you to track All Positions for the fiscal year via Position Codes. If you need to track headcount for your organization, Position Control can be a useful tool.

4 Steps to Adding Individual Employee Positions
Step 1: Add Filled Positions and Employee Data
Now that the pieces are in place with the Data Model Manager, it's time to add your employees to their Filled Positions. You can add Positions manually or via an Import. You can then manage existing Filled Positions to account for any unique individual specifications.

Step 2: Add Any Known Vacancies
Adding Vacant Positions allows you to budget for any positions you may fill during your budget year. You can also add these manually or via an import. Once filled, you can Convert a Vacant Position to an Employee.
If you have the Operational Budgeting module, you can also create Vacancies through Funding Packages.

Step 3: Create and Manage Personnel Requests with Department Leaders
Make your Personnel Budget a collaborative process. As an Editor, you can add Requesters and Sub-Requesters to your Personnel Budget to allow departments to Submit for New Positions, Review Existing Positions and Submit Department Scenarios.

Step 4: Check your Data
You've done a lot of work to build out the Personnel Budgeting module. Double check your efforts with your teams by exporting two reports -- The Allocations Detailed Report and the Filled Positions Detailed Report.
