Real Name Policy
Just like introducing yourself at a community meeting, we invite you to use your real name on our Engagement Website. To keep the conversation authentic, please log in with your name (for example: John Smith, J. Smith, or John S. are all great options).
We also welcome representatives from organizations, such as real estate companies or city planning entities, to provide verification before posting on behalf of their group.
Using real names helps foster a transparent, respectful, and friendly environment for everyone. Please ensure your profile is updated with your real name so your valuable contributions can be visible to the community.
Moderation
The Engagement Website provides a welcoming space for community members, developers, and planners to share ideas openly. To keep our conversations constructive and ensure everyone feels comfortable, a helpful third party moderates the project pages.
We value every perspective, even when opinions differ. To maintain a friendly space, we ask that all participation remains respectful and focused on the topic at hand. While we celebrate diverse viewpoints, please help us keep the community positive by avoiding spam or language that might be unkind to others. ClearGov helps maintain these standards by filtering comments that align with these friendly goals.
To protect our community and maintain a positive atmosphere, we will remove comments that fall into the following categories to ensure everyone enjoys a safe experience:
- Comments that are libelous or defamatory, or include harassment or threats.
- Profanity
- Hate speech or attacks on anyone based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, socioeconomic status, immigration status, age, disabilities, or diseases.
- Content that is obscene, violent, pornographic, or lewd.
- Content that could be classified by the moderator as spam. Some examples of behaviors that violate rules against spam include:
- Consistently sharing links only, without any commentary
- Posting duplicate or similar content across multiple accounts
- Posting multiple, duplicate updates from one account
- Creating fake accounts or creating a user account under a fake name
- Posting excessive comments in an attempt to manipulate or undermine the platform
- Attempting to solicit, market, or sell products or services.
- ClearGov manages the removal of comments to ensure they consistently follow our community guidelines. To maintain a fair and neutral environment, individual project team members do not have the ability to hide or delete feedback themselves.
Collaborative Participation
ClearGov won’t hide, edit, or delete comments that comply with these community guidelines, and we do not alter popularity ranking. However, if you see something that you feel is inappropriate, you can flag a questionable comment for review by clicking the flag icon next to it. You can also contact us with more detailed questions at support@coUrbanize.com.
Confidentiality
ClearGov is dedicated to protecting your privacy. Your private information is kept safe and is only shared with your permission. We also encourage you to respect the intellectual property of others when posting. For more details, you are welcome to explore our Terms of Use.
