Personnel Budgeting - Sandbox Templates
What is a Sandbox Personnel Budget?
A Sandbox Template is the perfect way to check out Personnel Budgeting before really getting started. This creates a built out example Personnel Budget, for you to use as a sandbox environment, before starting your real personnel budget.
A sandbox template is a great way to:
- See examples of Units and Wage Schedules
- Check out how to set up Additional Pay and Benefits.
Create a Personnel Budget using Sandbox Templates
- Navigate to the Personnel Budgeting module.
- Select Create New Personnel Budget.
In the Create a Personnel Budget screen:
- Name: Enter a name (e.g., FY2026 Personnel Budget).
- Accept Personnel Requests: Select dates to start and stop accepting requests.
- Budget Start Month, Budget Length, and Budget Year.
-
Carry Forward option if you wish to carry forward Units, Wages Schedules, Allocations, Additional Pay, Benefits, or Contributors from the prior year's personnel budget.
- Note: Once a Personnel Budget is created, the Carry Forward selection cannot be modified.
- Position Control: Toggle on Position Control to enable Position Code Tracking
- Default Budget: Set your favorite budget for the fiscal year.
- Create Sandbox: This option creates your Personnel Budget as a demo sandbox, for you to see what a set up budget looks like.
Next Steps
Now your Personnel Budget is created and the next step is to start configuring the Data Model Manager and start with creating Units.
- See our training and support article to learn all about that next step: Creating and Managing Units.
