This process guide provides a step-by-step overview of collaborating in Disclosure Studio including adding users, thinking through permissioning, creating groups, creating workflows, assigning groups and users to specific steps and applying workflows to the report.
Step 1: Add Users to Disclosure Studio
Add any and all users who will either assist in the MDFM or in the Report.
Resource: Add and Manage Users
Step 2: Think Through Permissioning and Create Groups
Using Groups will let you combine users with the same permissioning and add the permissions en masse. You can always add additional permissions to specific users, but we recommend thinking through who needs what permissions and grouping them together.

Step 3: Create Workflows and Assign Groups/Users to Sections
Set up the specific project management workflows for report sections. The steps created in the workflow will allow you to track where you stand within a specific section as well as the entire report to keep you on track. Within a step, set up rules to specify what groups or users have access to specific steps and in turn specific report sections when applied.
Resource: Create and Manage Workflows
Step 4: Apply Workflows to the Report
Add workflows to the specific report sections to help you track the process of each section making sure all sections have been reviewed, edited and are ready to publish.
