The Start page: What does someone see at the beginning of a ClearForms submission?
The Start Page (the public-facing submission overview or landing page) is where constituents go to begin using the forms you've created.
Here's an overview of what's on the Admin Start page:
To get to the Start page for a workflow from an admin account:
- Select the Form Manager Tab in the navigation menu.
- Enter the specific Form.
- Select the blue Start Form button in the upper right to open a drop-down menu with the URL. Copy and paste the URL into your browser to access the Start Page. If you are signed in as a Form Admin, you will view the Admin Start Page and be able to manage the Description and change the Banner Image.
Once you're there, you can change the background image for the page and set a short description.
This is also the same link you'll use to include this form on your website.
Make sure you preview and edit your Start page before you go live!
Customizing the Description and Banner Image
Once on the Admin Start page, hover over the default banner image and select "Change banner image" in the bottom right corner of the banner.
Select an image to upload and you're good to go! Recommended size is at least 1500 x 360px.
Note: The system greys out and darkens the image so that the white text is visible, so you may find that contrast and visibility is limited.
Public Search Feature
Select the Form you'd like to enable Public Search on from your Forms section, then open the Settings tab.
Scroll down to the bottom to the Public Data Search Settings and toggle it to "On".
You also have the ability to add instructions to help users find what they are looking for before searching. These instructions will appear right above the search box on the Stats page of the form.
Once you enable searching, the public will see the Public Search tab as an option on the Stats page.
