Renewing a Submission
What is a Submission Renewal?
Renewals allow the Applicant to start a new Submission using the same information they entered in the previous submission. To learn more about Renewal Settings for Administrators, see the article Utilizing Renewal Settings.
Form vs Submission
Form: Every permit, license, etc. created in ClearForms is known as a Form
Submission: When an applicant launches a specific Form is known as a Submission.
Renewal Reminder Email
The renewal submission begins with an e-mail notification that the Submission is available for Renewal. The message and frequency of the Renewal reminder e-mail are customizable in the Administrator’s Output Settings tab.
Renewing from the Submission Dashboard
Select the Submission to renew
- From the Submission Dashboard, select the Submission that is ready to renew.
If the submission is available for renewal, there will be an icon that indicates the renewal status.
- Select Renew to begin the new submission.
Note: If the current output is expired - the summary document will be outlined in red.
- Review and confirm all auto-populated information.
- Follow the steps to complete the submission as normal.
- The Submission will now be renewed until the next determined expiration date!
