If you’re looking to duplicate a statement for reuse or mirror another statement you want to make, you’re in the right place to walk through cloning and updating a statement.
Clone a Financial Statement
The first step to duplicating a statement is to clone it. Let’s walk through how to do that.
- Navigate to the Statements tool in the navigation sidebar.
- To clone a statement, select the Actions icon (three dots)that is located on the right-hand side of that statement row.
- Select the Clone icon.
- In the Clone Statement modal, the previous statement’s Fiscal Year, Financial Version, and Statement Name will be prepopulated. Make any necessary changes to the presented information that you need to order to clone the statement.
- Lastly, select the Clone Statement button to create the new cloned statement.
Next Steps
Now that you have cloned your statement, what should you do?
- Review the cloned statement.
- If needed, relabel rows, add or remove rows, and reformat rows.
- Optionally, use the existing Dynamic Figures tab in Statement Settings to bulk change versions on several figures at once. Learn more about bulk updating dynamic figures in the Support and Training article: Statements - Financial Statement Settings - Update Dynamic Figures.
- Lastly, insert your statement in your financial report document. If your document already contains this cloned statement, any changes you make will be automatically updated in the financial report document.
