Sometimes benefits have complex calculation models that result in many Employees having unique additional pay or benefit amounts.
For example: Life insurance is based on age, everyone costs a different amount based on their specific age range and it is too many options to put inside the Data Model Manager.
- Set up the Additional Pay or Benefit as a Flat Amount per Time Period set at $1 Annually.
- Now assign that Additional Pay or Benefit to the Employees. You can use the bulk upload or assign through the dropdown in the Employees table.
- Create a Scenario, or navigate to your existing Scenario and go to the Additional Pay or Benefit Tab.
- Lastly, expand the Scenario to the Employee level and enter the amount each person makes in the column. Be sure to subtract $1 from their totals as the $1 will automatically be applied to each employee who is assigned the Additional pay.
- Note: Instead of entering values per employee, you can enter the value at a higher level and it will equally distribute the values down to every employee in that group. For example: Unit, Department, or Job Title level.
