In the Scenario Detail table, select the Vacancies subtab.
- For any vacancies, you may fill in the specified fiscal year, enter a proposed start date. The system will automatically calculate the total compensation based on the partial year’s wages.
Note: If the proposed start date is outside of the current fiscal year you are modeling for, it will not impact the scenario until that vacancy's proposed fiscal year. - Adjust Wages up or down versus the standard by a given percentage.
- Adjust Additional Pays, and Benefits by a dollar amount or percentage.
- The Personnel Budgeting application aggregates all adjustments made to wages, additional pay, and benefits in the Adjust. Total column.
- Use the toggle in the first column to include or exclude vacancies from the scenario in bulk or individually. By default, all vacancies are excluded until you manually add them. Even if you have entered a start date and made adjustments to compensation, you must still manually add vacancies to your scenario.
If you see a Red Warning Icon and are not able to add a vacancy, you will need to add a Proposed Start Date to be able to include the vacancy.
If you edit a Proposed Start Date or End Date in a Scenario, a purple tag icon will appear next to the date. This is meant to indicate that the date was customized directly in the scenario and may not be reflected on the Vacant Position itself in the Positions tab.
