Dynamic Figures - Dimension Grouping

This option enables you to filter and select financial data based on dimensions and categories (e.g., function, object, department, and funds), which is ideal for summarizing data across multiple accounts. 

Note: Any newly added accounts will automatically roll up into this grouping if it’s included in the filter criteria. 

1. In the Dimension Grouping section, select:
   • Account Type (expenditures, revenue, asset, liability, or equity)
   • Financial Data version (budgeted or actual)
   • Budget Year and Version
   • Format Option (the way monies are displayed)
   • Descriptive name for this dynamic figure
2. In the Financial Statistics Builder section, expand the dropdown menu under Group By to select any of your mapped data dimensions (e.g. function, object, department, and funds) and categories. 
   • Use the plus sign icon to add multiple dimensions to this dynamic figure.
3. Verify the Amount/Value is correct, then select Save & Insert Dynamic Figure to add it to your narrative.
