Dynamic Formulas allow you to perform calculations using existing dynamic figures. You can create year-over-year comparisons, calculate differences between departments, or build custom formulas for your financial statements.
- In the Dynamic Figure Options choose the Dynamic Formula input method.
- From the Formula Builder section, select the existing dynamic figures you want to compare or combine, then choose whether to add, minus, or show a percentage difference.
- Enter a Formula Name. Then choose the Display Format and Negative Values. Note: For difference % the Display Format and Negative Values are irrelevant.
- Verify the value and select the Save & Insert Dynamic Formula button to insert the value into the financial statement.
