Capital Budgeting - Finalize a Scenario

Finalizing a scenario pushes through all of the adjustments and decisions you’ve made as part of your scenarios planning. This information is available to all users. Finalized scenarios can still be edited.

To finalize a scenario, head to the Scenarios tab and within the Scenarios table, toggle the button for the scenario that you want to finalize and Confirm. 

Note: You must have saved a version within the scenario before you can finalize it. To learn more about saving a version, please see this article: Capital Budgeting - Build a Scenario.

Finalized Scenarios in the Request Manager

Based on the version type and figures included in the most recently saved version of a scenario, projects are assigned a status.

• Under Consideration - This project is included in your scenario. The most recent saved version of your scenario is Proposed.
• Not Funded - This project is not included in your scenario. The most recent saved version is Adopted or Amended.
• Partially Funded - This project is included in your scenario but with less than the total requested capital costs. The most recent saved version is Adopted or Amended.
• Funded - This project is included in your scenario with 100% of its requested capital costs. The most recent saved version is Adopted or Amended.

Any edits you’ve made to Capital Costs, Funding Sources, or Operational Costs are applied to the Request Manager table and the Request Detail page.

Note: To edit whether a request is included or excluded on your Capital Budgeting dashboard and in your Digital Budget Book, adjust the status in the finalized scenario. Funded, Partially Funded and Not Funded projects are able to be displayed in your Digital Budget Book.
