Scenarios model the allocation of projects across funds and years.
The Scenario Comparison Graph will compare Total Capital Costs and Total Operation Costs across all years for each scenario.
- Toggle on or off Available Scenarios.
- Contrast and compare all scenarios by Capital Cost, Operating Costs, Operating Revenue, or Cost Savings.
- Select the download icon to export the chart as an image, CSV, or XLS.
- To view more details of a scenario, select the Scenario Name.
Below the Scenario Comparison Graph is the Scenarios table, which displays the scenario’s name, its description, whether it has been finalized, who created the scenario and when, who last modified the scenario and when, and the total budget.
Across the top of the Scenario Detail Page is a bullet graph of your Funding Sources.
The graph’s barrels represent the total amount of each funding source requested.
-
Along the left, you will see:
- Requested - the amount of funding requested by the requester.
- Available - the amount of available funding for each funding source.
- Included - the amount of funding that was included in the scenario.
- This information can serve as a guide when deciding which requests to include in your capital budget. If the amount of funding requested is greater than the amount available, it will display as a red section on the barrel. If the funding requested is less than the amount available, it will display as a grey section on the barrel. If a request crosses the limit of available funding, the entire bullet will display in red.
- Note: Hovering over the bullet will display the request name, total capital cost, and total funding sources.
- If multiple sources fund the request, you will see the percentage applied to this source.
- Each year in the scenario has a unique bullet graph. Use the toggle above the charts to view another year.
Below the bullet graph is the Scenario table.
- The toggle in the first column shows you which requests are included in the scenario.
- View Funding Source, Capital Cost, Cost Saving, Operational Revenue, and Operational Cost totals for all years for individual requests.
-
In the Request/Categories column, expand a request using the arrow next to the request title.
- Note: To help identify discrepancies between Capital Costs and Funding Sources, there is a warning icon next to the Capital Request title. Hovering displays the total capital costs and the total funding sources as well as the difference between them.
- In the Capital Costs, Funding Sources, Cost Savings, Operational Revenue, or Operational Costs for each request, you will be able to review a breakdown by type and version (Requested, Proposed, etc.) for each fiscal year included in the capital budget.
-
The Totals section will display In Progress and In Progress vs. Requested Difference.
- Note: The In Progress column will appear with the same statistics as the last saved version.
- Select the Customize Columns button to choose Fiscal Year, Versions, and Other Information to display in the Request Manager table.
