This article is intended for: Editors of a budget book document responsible for creating and managing financial pages.
Use this article after: You have added financial pages to your document and reviewed them.

Depending on the type of financial pages you have created, you will have settings for those dimension types (i.e., Fund Summary Pages, Program, and Department).
From the Settings menu, select the Dimension page tab (i.e., Fund Summary, Location, Department, Program, etc.) to begin to make edits to the universal pages of that dimension.
Note: Universal Page Settings will apply to all pages within that dimension section of pages.
Within these settings, you can do the following. Select an action to navigate directly to the section.
- Determine which sections and content show within the financial pages.
- Configure the Chart Type for charts.
- Configure the display settings of the Tables.
Pro-Tip: It is recommended to make changes to your financial pages in bulk. This will standardize your financial pages and streamline your time management for customizing your financial pages.
Toggle On/Off Blocks of the Financial Pages
Choose between Universal Page Settings to be able to:

Hide/Show headline, text, charts, or financial schedule configuration in a content block.
- Pro-Tip: Click the More Actions button and click Show all fields or Hide all fields options to avoid having to toggle for each page.
- Configure your Charts by selecting the configure icon. Then choose your preferred chart type.
- Configure financial schedule tables. Select Configure in the Schedule Configuration section to customize the table.
Note: You can also set the structure for individual pages within a Dimension by selecting Individual Page Settings.
Configure Chart Types
From the Dimension Page in Settings, select the Configure icon next to the multi-year or single-year chart field. From here you have a few options:
- Choose a Chart Type to apply to the financial pages in that dimension.
- Toggle Hide Small Values from Legend to hide anything that is less than 1% of the total.
- Set the Legend Values Alignment to either left or right.
- Set Value and Percent Decimal Places up to 2 decimals.
When ready, select the Configure Chart button to save the chart type.
Configure the Financial Schedule Tables
Each financial page type will display a Financial Schedule Table after the charts in each financial dimension content block. Remember, you will be able to control which financial dimension content blocks you want to display in Settings!
Note: You can apply global updates to Financial Schedule Tables. Check out the article: Digital Budget Book - Global Table Configurations.
Navigate to your preferred Dimension Page in Settings. Then expand the dimension content block you want to work within and select the Configure icon next to the Schedule Configuration. A Financial Schedule Editor module will appear on the screen. In the Financial Schedule Editor, you can customize your Display Settings.
The General Tab

Table Preferences:
- Toggle on Expand Statements by default if you wish for the table to display expanded on the document page.
- Display suppressed rows will allow you to hide rows in the financial schedule tables that contain only zero-dollar values across all columns.
- Decide whether to show Account details and subsequent decisions:
- Toggle on Show Itemizations if you would like to display all itemization entered or imported in the operating budget.
- Control what itemizations display, Personnel, Capital, or Manually Created, by toggling off the option.
- Row Settings allow you to manage the dimensions that will be displayed and grouped within a table:
- By toggling on the Sub-total Rows, you can add automatic subtotals from the view.

Column Display:
- Drag and drop the columns in the your preferred displayed order.

Column Menu:
- Select or deselect columns to display in a financial table. Note: Adding more then 6 columns to a table may result in additional pages in the PDF version of your budget book.
- Create a change column by selecting the +Add Change Column option.
The Value Formatting Tab
- Toggle on or off Display with $ values if you do not wish to show a dollar sign with your financial figures. Dollar signs will display with all values by default.
- Toggle on Enable Accounting Format to align the currency symbol ($) to the left in a column.
- Choose Currency Decimal Places of 0, 1, or 2 decimal places.
- Choose Percentage Decimal Places of 0,1, or 2.
- Choose how to Display empty values as $0.00, blank values, or dashes.
The Table Presentation Tab:
- Toggle on Display Horizontal Gridlines to display lines between each row of the table
- Toggle on Display Vertical Gridlines to display lines between each column of the table

Select Alternating Row and Column Coloring to show color contrast between rows and columns on the table.
- Toggle on Apply row color to totals and subtotals to highlight these summary values.
- Choose the Horizontal and Vertical Alignment of heading formatting.
Remember to select the Save Configuration button to confirm changes.
Note: The system will warn if you have not saved your changes.
Pro Tip: Utilize the Budget Version Naming tool in Settings to rename version columns in your financial table.
