This article is intended for: Editors of the Capital Budgeting module.
Use this article to: Organize your Capital Budgeting home screen.
Besides keeping your Capital Budgeting home screen organized and focused on your current initiatives, it is important to note your account can only have one capital budget for each fiscal year. For example, if a capital budget is created for FY2027, you and all other users in your account will not be able to create another capital budget for FY2027. These are both great reasons to archive and/or delete your capital budgets.
Archiving a Capital Budget
If you wish to archive a budget follow the steps below.
Click on the image to zoom.
- From your Capital Budgeting home screen select the Actions icon next to the budget you wish to archive.
- Next, select the Archive icon. A pop-up window will verify that you really want to archive the budget. Select the Archived Budget book to confirm.
Note: There are potential ramifications when archiving. If you have a Transparency center or an unlocked Digital Budget Book with these specific Capital Budgeting projects, we recommend that you leave the Capital Budget active. As a rule of thumb, if these projects are in use, do not archive them!
Delete or Restore an Archived Budget
Click on the image to zoom.
- To delete or restore an archived budget select the Archived tab.
- Select the Actions icon next to the preferred archived budget.
-
Then you can choose for the Restore or Delete actions.
- The restore action will return the budget back to the active tab and it will become an active budget once again.
The delete action will permanently delete the budget from Capital Budgeting. Of course, ClearGov gives you a popup screen to confirm you really want to delete the budget!
