When a visitor submits a comment, it is NOT automatically posted to your Transparency Center. Instead, an email notification is sent to all users who are designated to receive notifications when a comment is submitted. Those users can then review the comment and decide what action to take.
Below, you will learn how to manage:
- Comment Notifications
- Project Notifications

Managing Comment Notifications
Follow the steps below to designate who should receive comment notifications once you Log into your ClearGov account:
- Select the User Management application in the lefthand navigation column.
- Select the three dots (More Actions) for the user you want to edit notifications for and select Edit User.
- In the Transparency Project Notifications section, select the checkboxes for each page or project you want to subscribe the user to.
- Select the Save button to confirm the changes.
Note: The Notifications column on the User Management home screen will display if notifications are on for Contributor, Department Heads, and Administrator roles, and how many notifications the user is assigned. Read-Only and Reviewer roles cannot be assigned to receive notifications and will be labeled as Off.
For additional information on user role types, see our training article: User Management - Defining User Role Types
