Employee benefits are indirect, non-cash, or cash compensation paid to an employee above and beyond regular salary or wages. Employers must also pay for unemployment benefits on employees' behalf. Benefits and wages help identify overall compensation for a position in a year. Common types of benefits include FICA, Health Insurance, PERS, and Dental Insurance.
Note: Additional Pay and Benefits are created the same way in ClearGov Personnel Budgeting. Set the rules and options in the Data Model Manager, and the options created in the Data Model Manager will be selected per Employee later on in the Positions tab.
Why is this important?
Benefits options account for all variances available to any filled positions (employee) could receive. This allows you to model unique changes within the Scenarios.
