Additional pay includes allowances, one-time payments, periodic activity pay, temporary increases to hourly rates or salaries, and standard increases to base salaries based on skills. Additional pay counts towards overall compensation but is separate from base wages. Common types of additional pay include overtime, hazard pay, vehicle stipends, and holiday pay.
Note: Additional Pay and Benefits are created the same way in ClearGov Personnel Budgeting. Set the rules and options in the Data Model Manager, and the options created in the Data Model Manager will be selected per Employee later on in the Positions tab.
Why is this important?
Additional Pay options account for all variances available to any filled positions (employee) could receive. This allows you to model unique changes within the Scenarios.
