The Actions column allows us to take action on folders and charts. Note: if an action is greyed out, you cannot take the action; likely because you do not have Collaborator access on the chart.
Actions for Folders
- Add Sub-Folder - Create a sub-folder
- Edit - Edit folder name
- Add to Folder - Add to a folder (move a folder underneath a separate folder)
- Remove from Folder - Remove from folder (if underneath a separate folder)
- Lock - Lock a folder (allows it to longer be moved or renamed)
- Delete - Delete a folder
- Important Note: deleting a folder will permanently delete any sub-folders and charts in the folder, even if they are included on ClearGov product pages or panels. We recommend viewing the “Location(s) Used” before deleting your folder to determine where charts are currently being used.
Actions for Charts
- Preview - Preview a sample chart
- Edit - Edit the chart by selecting the pencil icon
- Collaborators - Change the Collaborators who have access to edit the chart
- Move to a new folder - Move the chart into a new folder
- Remove from a folder - Remove the chart from a folder
- Add to a folder - Move the chart into an existing folder
- Clone - Clone a chart
- Download - Download a PNG
- Embed - Copy an HTML code
- Lock - Lock a chart so no future edits can be made
- Delete - Delete a chart by selecting the trash can icon
Bulk Actions
Many of the individual actions you can take on charts and folders can be done in bulk.
To take Bulk Actions on charts:
- First select the folders or chart(s) you wish to take the actions on.
- Select Bulk Actions
- Select the actions to apply to the selected charts. If an action is greyed out, you cannot take the action; likely because you do not have Collaborator access on the chart.
