FAQ: How Does Chart Cloning Work?

To Clone a Chart is to make a copy. You can clone a chart from the dashboard or within the chart itself. 

1. In the Charts Tool dashboard, select the three dots in the Actions column. 

2. Select Clone.

   
   
    

   You can clone a chart from inside the chart itself. Select Clone from the Collaboration Bar. 

Converting an Existing Chart to the New Chart Builder

Convert Chart to New Builder - Toggle Yes to use the new chart building workflow offering more flexibility in data sources and additional options for comparing budget versions for charts created using ClearGov Financial Data. Note: this may update the resulting Chart's display which may differ from the original.

By default, the toggle is set to Yes. Toggling on No will maintain the original data source. 

Existing Charts will remain unchanged. To convert a Chart to the new Chart builder, you will need to clone it. 

When cloned, the data will be copied and you can change the information in the Data Source section.
