3 Steps to Closing a Request Round in Operational Budgeting
Step 1: Review the Worksheet and Make Decisions
After a department or division leader submits their requests, the next step is for you to review, approve, or deny those requests. Use the increase/decrease arrows in the In Progress > Value column to identify categories containing line items requiring your attention.

Step 2: Close the Request Round
Be sure to click the Close Request button once everything has been evaluated. This completes the request round so further request round edits cannot be made and allows you to continue with the various stages including any amendments to the budget.
Closing a Request Round also automatically saves two versions of data (Initial Request and Closed Request columns) of your budget that you can utilize.
Pro-Tip: If you are still not seeing the Close Request button, there is a chance that some accounts may not be assigned. Make sure to assign ALL accounts in your budget and approve or deny these amounts.

Step 3: Continue the Budgeting Process
Now that you have your budgeted figures after a request round, you can use this data to report out to your stakeholders. Run reports, export the dashboard, or even include this data in a Digital Budget Book (subscription required).
Upon stakeholder feedback, continue to work through the budgeting stages and continue saving a version as needed. Once the budget is officially signed off, you can finalize the budget.
