UI Enhancements

The Operational Budgeting landing page has been updated to provide greater clarity and detail, particularly for administrators. Enhancements include a more descriptive page overview and a new indicator that displays the request round for each budget.

Additionally, the following improvements have been made to the top sections of each tab within a budget to enhance the user experience:

• A new navigation path allows users to easily navigate back to the Operational Budgeting home screen.
• The budget name can now only be changed through the settings page.
• The progress bar now features a clickable icon that provides additional details.
• A new request round status section clearly indicates whether a request round is open.
• The role selection button now includes workflow changes for users with multiple roles within the same budget (e.g., editor and contributor).

A new role hierarchy has been established: Editor, Contributor, and Reviewer. The Editor role is the highest level. Each person's default role is the highest role associated with their account. This default role will determine access if multiple roles are assigned to an account. The role dropdown selection will no longer display a user's default role. For example, Editors will not see the Editor option in the dropdown menu, as this is their default role.

When a role is selected that’s not the default, very clear messaging will display at the top of every page with warnings about possible reduced functionality and options to move back into the default role.

There are a few ways to return back to the default role:

• Clicking the button in the top right warning box
• Using the switch role dropdown and clicking the default role
• Within the role warning modal above choosing to go back to the default role

The role warning content is also tab specific for how the selected role may impact what functionality is available and what’s displayed on the page.
