⬜ Gather Relevant Materials
- Collect all relevant materials in preparation including any past financial data.
- Send your financial data to ClearGov to upload into our system.
5 Steps to Setting Up your Transparency Center
Transparency is a ClearGov module designed to increase fiscal transparency and make it easy for your constituents to download and view your financial data, receive updates on capital projects, view department-specific dashboards, and more!
⬜ Step 1: Locate your Transparency Center
- Select the drop-down menu underneath your name in the upper right corner of the ClearGov homepage.
- Select the first option called “View (your organization name) Page”
⬜ Step 2: Customize the Web Page
If you are signed in as an Admin user in ClearGov, you will be able to make changes to your organization's Transparency Page when viewing it.

Rearrange and hide any panels. An eye icon will be visible to hide panels on the page. If you do not see the eye icon, be sure that you are signed into your ClearGov account as an Administrator.

Navigate to the Banner settings to add a Banner and Seal/Logo to your site.

Add Custom Panels to add more context and information to your Transparency Site.

Add the name of the Official for your organization. For example, the Mayor.
- Resource: Add an Official to Transparency
⬜ Step 3: Manage the Data that Displays on your Transparency Page
Manage the Financial Data that displays on your public Transparency Site in the following locations:
- Use the Financial Data tile to make decisions about which Funds to display and more.
- Use the Years tile to decide which years to display and budgeted vs. actuals.
- Use the Pages tile to decide which Pages to display on your Transparency site.

⬜ Step 4: (Optional) Create Dashboards
Transparency Dashboards can be added to your Transparency Center to highlight individual departments. Department Dashboards can be created for as many Departments in your organization, highlighting key metrics and information.
⬜ Step 5: (Optional) Create Project Pages
Project pages can be created to highlight important information about ongoing projects for your organization.
- Capital Budgeting Connection - Project Pages can be synced directly from Capital Budgeting Requests.

Custom Project Pages - You can create custom Project Pages directly in Transparency.
