Create a Manual Table and Add Data
- To add a Manual Table to a report, click the blue plus and select Table.
- Note: If you need to edit an existing table, click the table to begin the process.
- Click Manual
- Click Edit Table to open the editor.
- Within the spreadsheet, copy and paste or manually type in the information for the table just as you would in Excel or import an Excel file.
- Select the import button and select the Excel file from your computer. Be sure to name the sheet within the file that you want imported "Display" to make the connection.
- Note: Formatting within your Excel file will be imported as long as it is supported by our editor.

Additional Actions
- Use formulas in a cell to calculate a value as needed.
- Tip: Start by typing = and the start of the formula name to select from the list.
- Reference either a number from an MDFM table or text from a Report Variable in a cell by selecting the Insert Variable icon.
- Add images to a cell by selecting the Insert Image icon and either uploading a file from your computer or select an image Report Variable to insert.

Key Actions to Know
Format Cells
- From within the Table Editor, right click on selected cell(s) and select Format Cells. You can also select the Format Cells ($) icon in the toolbar.
- Note: You can select multiple cells, an entire row and an entire column, just like in Excel.
Create a Custom format or select from a list of standard formatting options or click Clear Format to remove any previous formatting. Click OK to confirm the changes.

Change the color formatting of the text and/or cell background of selected cells by selecting the Theme Colors icon.
Note: These colors can be set to your brand colors. Select Configure brand colors to add and edit this settings.

Merge cells together by selecting the merge cells icon.
Note: The merged cells will retain the value of the top-left cell only.

Select cell(s) and select the Borders icon to add divider lines and borders to your table.
When adding a border, choose the color, weight, style and placement of the borders. If you need to remove previous formatting, select Clear All.
Format Text in Cells
Select the appropriate icon to Bold, Italicize or Underline the selected cell(s) as needed.
Hyperlink the text in a cell by selecting the hyperlink icon and adding the link to reference in the pop-up that appears.
Select Wrap text to allow the text to fit in the cell no matter the size.
Select the horizontal alignment icon to set the alignment of text for selected cell(s). You can set it to left-aligned, centered, right-aligned or justified.
Change the Vertical alignment of the text in the cell by selecting the Vertical Alignment icon. The text can be placed either at the top, in the middle or at the bottom of a cell.
Increase or decrease indents in cell(s) as needed by selecting the appropriate icons.

Step-By-Step Instructions
- From the table editor, add Footnotes to a table's cells by selecting the cell, right clicking and selecting Table Notes.
- Add in the footnote text and select Save to confirm the footnote.
- Tip: You can add Note, Number, Report, Table Cell and Calculated (MDFM Expression) variables to your footnote to help make it dynamic.
- While the footnote will not appear in the table editor, it will show in the block's display and in the preview after clicking Refresh.
- See all of the Table's footnotes by selecting the Table Notes icon in the toolbar. Here you can create a new note or edit and delete footnotes.

Step-By-Step Instructions
- From the table block in the report, add headers or footers to a manual table with the Add Header icon.
- Add a Header or a Footer by selecting the Plus icon in the respective section.
- On by default, toggle off Repeated for following pages if you wish to not have the header added to the next page if the table is split.
- Toggle on Show (continued) to help readers understand a table continues on the next page if split between multiple pages.
- Add Variables to headers and footers as appropriate to make your text dynamic.
- Select the Trash icon to delete a header or footer you've created.
