Report Builder Enhancements
This release includes a series of updates to improve the Report Builder tool in Personnel Budgeting:
- Wage Schedule is now a default column in the Employee Detail Report. This can be removed in the same way all columns can be added or removed via the “Columns” selection on the right side of the table.
- Authorized Position is now a column in the Employee Detail Report. This column cannot be customized; it is a 1.0 value for all employees and vacancies within this report. It does not replace the existing FTE column, which can be customized per employee/vacancy. This new column is not enabled by default; it can be enabled via the “Columns” sidebar.
- Future years within the selected scenario are now available in the Employee Detail Report. These new columns are not enabled by default; they can be enabled via the “Columns” sidebar.
- Future scenario year wages
- Future scenario year benefits
- Future scenario year additional pays
- Future scenario year total compensation
- Custom reports, known as My Reports, can now be viewed by all Editors within a budget.

Team Departments
When creating a new team or editing an existing one, a department field is now available that will determine what departments are available for those contributors to create requests against. If a contributor is on multiple teams with different departments, all of those departments will be available for selection during request creation.
If there is a request that does not line up with the departments that have been selected for a given team, a new warning icon will appear on the Request Manager tab next to each request. When hovered over, additional context will also be provided with such information.
As well, the department criteria will be used to determine what requests are visible to a given contributor based on their team department assignment. However, if a contributor is the request owner, those requests will always appear within their Request Manager tab, regardless of the department assigned. In the screenshot below, Nancy is on two teams with different department assignments.
Luanne however is only on the Public Safety team with Nancy and will only see the related Public Safety requests.
ClearForms
Print PDF for Form Data
Form data can now be printed to PDF via a new print button on the Form Reviews tab (to the right of the submission number).
This is helpful for inspectors who need to print applicant form data to bring into the field, especially if they’re in a location without cell service (i.e., if ClearForms cannot be accessed in the field via a mobile device).
Charts
Bulk Actions
Bulk actions are now available for Charts in the Application’s home page. Checkboxes now appear next to Folder and Chart titles on each row. When selected, you can complete bulk updates by expanding the “Bulk Actions” menu. The available actions are:
- Lock
- Unlock
- Move to Folder
- Download
- Delete
After selecting the charts/folders, simply choose the action you’d like to complete for them all simultaneously.
Org Charts Updates
Organizational Charts have received a series of updates and a refreshed look to improve on the existing functionality. The enhancements include an update to the layout — it now matches that of all other Charts where settings are now in a left sidebar with the Chart Builder to the right. Within that builder, choosing to edit a card will open a drawer on the bottom of the screen, and creating a new card opens a new modal.
New formatting options were added for the text on all cards. Each of the 3 lines can now be Bold and/or Italicized. You can indicate a color you’d prefer, and each can be left, center, or right-aligned.
Moreover, you will now see a setting for Card Type to indicate how each card displays relative to the parent card. The options for this setting are Child, Partner, and Assistant.
A Child Card is the same as we have always had. This creates a new branch in the Org Chart tree below the Parent Card.
A Partner Card is one that adds a position at the same level as the Parent Card (the card where you clicked the + sign to create the card), indicating equal standing in the organizational structure.
An Assistant Card inserts a supporting role connected to the Parent Card, shown with a side link to represent a non-direct reporting role.
Finally, in addition to the new text settings and new card type option, we have added the ability for you to choose the format of the line flowing to the card. Simply select between “Solid Line” and “Dotted Line” in the Connection Line section.
